As we move from the season of Lent, with its focus on self-examination and repentance; and move into the season of Easter which is intrinsically celebratory and life-giving; it is only natural that we pause for a moment or two at this transitional time of the year.
Our worship services have been filled with folks – some new to SAKLC, some long-standing – all of whom have experienced the wonderful music that our very gifted musicians have offered up to God.
The largest team at SAKLC, the Community Service Ministry, has challenged us to support several worthy causes in our wider community, financially, as well as with our time and talents. As a result, lives have been touched by our love, and transformed by God’s grace.
Our wonderful minister of music, Michael Bodnyk, has provided us with a season filled with concerts, which have brought visitors into our building and our meditation garden, and put a smile on the faces of all who have been touched by music old and new, from jazz and swing to Renaissance polyphony.
And throughout the 2023 season, educational classes of a wide variety have been offered. Indeed, the Christian education booklet lists an entire year of classes at SAKLC – something for every taste and interest.
In short, St. Armands Key Lutheran Church is a happening place, filled with opportunities to worship, serve, learn, and transform lives. It is a Gospel-centered, grace-filled place of love.
It is from such a position of faithfulness in witness, that I once again ask you to be faithful in giving. This is not the time to assume that someone else’s offering will cover things, or to believe that your contribution would not be missed, or to assume that other ministries need your support more than your church home does. All that is described above is made possible because of your faithful and consistent generosity. Without your ongoing support, we will cease to be the future-oriented, forward-focused, mission-centered faith community that you know us to be.
Thank you for your gifts of time, talent, and treasure!
