THE KING’S BRASS CONCERT on Tuesday, January 13th, at 6:30 PM,
at St Armands Key Lutheran Church in Sarasota.
The King’s Brass presents contemporary and classic tunes with a special flair. It features three trumpets, three trombones, a tuba, percussion, and keyboards. Together, these instruments create a unique musical experience that is enjoyable for all generations.
Both secular and sacred music critics have praised their concerts as “superb in every way” and “innovative and well played.” “Truly, an unforgettable experience!”
Founded over four decades ago in Detroit, The King’s Brass is composed of professional musicians from across the country who desire to use the instruments they love to lead others in praise and worship. Based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the group performs over 150 concerts per year, traveling from coast to coast and to international destinations. This 2025, The King’s Brass celebrates its 46th Anniversary Season with a trip to the Holy Land in March 2025.
The King’s Brass’ nineteenth recording is titled *Festive Brass*. This new CD, released on the Summit Records label (www.summitrecords.com), features guest organist Diane Bish, along with J. Marty Cope, Sunghwan Kim, Rebecca Kleintop Lepore, and Samuel Metzger. Selections include: “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name” (“Coronation”); “Festive Trumpet Tune”; “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God”; “In Christ Alone”; “Holy, Holy, Holy”; “Toccata from Symphonie Concertante”; “God Bless the USA”; “Overture to Candide”; “What a Wonderful World”; and many more.
