The SAKLC Legacy Society is hosting its first educational workshop
as part of the Retirement and Estate Planning Workshop Series.
The SAKLC Legacy Society, as part of the SAKLC Foundation, is delighted to introduce its first in a series of educational workshops.
This workshop will focus on “Women, Wealth, and Wisdom.” What you need to know in 2026!
It will be held
on Monday, March 23, beginning at 12:00 noon.
A light lunch will be served first, with the informational workshop immediately after.
As you may recall, the Legacy Society was introduced on November 15th at a dinner and organ recital called “A Little Night of Music.” The Legacy Society was formed from members of both the Church Council and the Foundation Board. Its purpose is to provide guidance to individuals who wish to support the continuation of the spiritual experience of SAKLC beyond their lifetime, and to leave a lasting impact on the work of this church.
As part of this effort, a series of educational workshops under the banner “Bites and Wisdom” is being planned for all who are interested.
The topics covered in the “Women, Wealth and Wisdom” workshop include:
**Paying It Forward**: This section will explore the concept of altruism and community support, encouraging participants to engage in acts that benefit others and create a ripple effect of kindness in their networks.
**Tax Efficiency**: Attendees will learn strategies for minimizing tax liabilities through smart financial planning. This includes understanding deductions, credits, and investment options that can enhance overall tax efficiency.
**Life Insurance**: This portion will provide an overview of the different types of life insurance policies available, their benefits, and how to choose the right coverage to protect loved ones and ensure financial security for the future.
While estate planning is important for everyone, it holds particular significance for women due to several demographic, economic, and life-pattern realities that often create unique needs and responsibilities. They include: longer life expectancy, higher likelihood of outliving a spouse and managing finances alone, gender pay and wealth gaps, to name a few. These are unique needs for women as well as their spouses to consider.
Join us for an informative experience designed to empower you with essential knowledge and tools for personal and financial growth.
