Our Community Service Ministry is once again inviting everyone to come together in support of the Nourish to Flourish initiative with a special food drive throughout the month of September.
Participating is easy!
Pick up a brown grocery bag in the Narthex, take it home, and fill it with non-perishable food items such as canned goods, pasta, rice, dried beans, cereal, peanut butter, and other pantry staples.
Please return your filled bag to the church by Sunday, September 27.
During worship that morning, the donated food will be blessed before it is shared with those in need. The Community Service Ministry will then distribute the donations to local organizations, including Second Chance Last Opportunity and Harvest House, which provide important support to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.
The need for food does not take a vacation. During the summer months and into early fall, charitable giving often declines while the need for assistance remains strong. That makes every bag—and every item inside it—especially meaningful.
Whether you fill one bag or several, your generosity can make a real difference for a neighbor in need.
Pick up a bag. Fill it with kindness. Bring it back by Sunday, September 27.
Together, we can nourish our community and share God’s love through simple acts of care and generosity.
