This September marks the 25th anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001—a day forever etched into the memory of our nation.
On Friday, September 11, 2026, St. Armands Key Lutheran Church invites our congregation and community to pause, remember, and pray for all whose lives were forever changed by the events of that day.

Whether you are among those who remember exactly where you were on September 11, 2001, or are part of a younger generation learning about that day, this community gathering offers an opportunity to come together in remembrance.
The commemoration will include personal testimonies, First Responder Rites of Passage, the Tolling of the Bell, patriotic and reflective music, and messages of unity connected with AMERICA 250.
Participants will also have an opportunity to honor individual victims of September 11 through the “Adopt a Fallen” remembrance, representing one of the 2,977 lives commemorated at the National September 11 Memorial in New York City and speaking their name during the Tolling of the Bell.
Our Carillon Will Ring in Remembrance
Throughout the morning of September 11, the St. Armands Key Lutheran Church carillon will ring at the times marking each of the four attacks of September 11, 2001.
Each ringing will be a moment to stop and remember—to honor the lives lost, the courage of first responders, the sacrifices of military families, and all those whose lives were forever affected.
We invite you, wherever you may be at those moments, to join us in prayer.
We pray for:
- Those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001
- Their families and loved ones
- Survivors who continue to carry the memories of that day
- Firefighters, police officers, emergency personnel, and other first responders
- Military members, veterans, and their families
- All who continue to serve and protect our communities and our country
- Peace, healing, courage, and unity in our nation and throughout the world
Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember.
We honor the fallen.
We give thanks for those who served.
We pray for those who still carry the scars.
And we commit ourselves once again to compassion, courage, peace, and unity.
We will never forget.
