Join us on Sunday, July 26, before the worship as we come together to pack backpacks for local students who are experiencing homelessness or transition.
This volunteer effort supports the Sarasota County Schools Schoolhouse Link Program, which works in partnership with the community to serve students who qualify under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Assistance Act. The program helps remove barriers that can prevent students from accessing public education and works closely with schools, families, and community partners to provide stability and support.
For students facing housing insecurity, something as simple as a backpack filled with school supplies can make a meaningful difference. It helps them begin the school year with confidence, dignity, and the tools they need to learn.
We are looking for a few volunteers to help with this project before 10 am. Many hands make the work go quickly, and every packed backpack is a reminder to a student that they are seen, supported, and not alone.
Please consider volunteering on Sunday, July 26, before worship, as we pack backpacks and share Christ’s love through service to our community.
